I started to develop a love of sports in 1968, at age 5 while listening to my father announce high school football and basketball games in Brookville, OH. My journey into sports photography started when I videotaped my son playing sports. When he was in Jr. High, I started selling the DVD's at cost to the parents. When he reached H.S. and played indoor basketball, I got my first Canon 50D DSLR, so I could capture the action without blur. I got my press pass in 2009 and added more sports every year as my friends asked me to capture their kids in action. My goal is to get as many kids as I can in the local papers. Furthermore, three of my photos from the Texas UIL State Wrestling Championships make up the cover of the 2017 UIL Wrestling State Championships Program. And this year I had my first credited photo in a national magazine, the April 15, 2018 edition of Wrestling USA. I have a photojournalist perspective when shooting and I like when my pictures tell a story. I would love to capture your story.
My Approach
My best shots are my candids. I try to take lots of candids in between getting the clutch plays on the field. I am lucky to get one of the best seats in the house on the field or the gym floor. This has taught me how to get the special moments of life. I have a deep love of pictures and their history, and a desire to help you preserve your history. Schedule your portrait session today.
My Passion
I enjoy capturing those special milestones and the interactions between friends and families. I would love to capture your special moments. I am presently in Fountain, CO.
